I was wondering if anyone has had this or known anyone to have this, as my mother and I are looking at giving it a go. If anyone has, did you see or feel any benefits with it and would you recommend it? Many thanks, Roxie xx

I thought it was supposed to help people with things like IBS. If your body
dosen't evacuate all its toxins [because of severe constipation] surely it can
only help. I did read somewhere that you would not be a suitable applicant if
you suffered from high blood pressure[Idon't know why or even if that's true]

@Roxie - Were I you, I would be very very careful in believing any alleged health benefits listed from a service that is likely to make money from you taking the treatment - Hardly the most impartial source of evidence :)
Here are a couple of links from more impartial, more expert sites that you might find interesting;

http://www.livescienc...ing-money-toilet.html
So, have one if you will, but be advised - there is no scientific evidence to suggest a health benefit, and there is a remote chance of harm, through bowel perforation or effectively washing away beneficial flora - butt, it all comes down to you in the end :)

The very last thing you want to do in the case of constipation, in my view, is to try and clear it out with a process of irrigation - taking a laxative would be far better for you.
There is a false idea, widely believed and circulated, that side effects that people suffer as a consequence of constipation, such as headaches, or fatigue, or loss of appetite / irritability are a side effect of those pesky chemicals being reabsorbed from the poo in the gut. This is, in fact, wrong. Rather, those side effects are a mechanical side effect of expansion of the gut size.
Laxatives are a far more efficient way of clearing the "blockage", as it were, and much less dangerous, to boot.
