Creaky knees...
30 Answers
Afternoon all,
For the past few years, my knees have been really achey and "creaky". This only really happens in the morning, but has got worse recently and now my ankles feel the same!
When I get up in the mornings, I almost find it difficult to walk for about 5 or 10 minutes as my knees, and now my ankles, are all stiff.
There's no pain, just stiffness.
Do you think it could have something to do with the colder weather, maybe? I have no idea.
Don't think it's a reason to visit the doctor, so thought I would ask on here.
Thanks :)

My brother in law is the same age as me and he suffers with arthritus in his hands. He said it sounded similar to his "aches".
What happens though if it carries on getting worse? Knee replacements? Hip replacements? All before I reach forty?!! :((

I had a hip replacement two years ago due to arthritis, and I think I'll probably have to have the other one done soon. Aches in my back first thing in the morning then my knees are stiff and then my feet and ankles and hands on cold days. My GP wouldn't prescribe Ibrupropen (the cause of stomach bleeding)and advised me to take paracetamol up to eight a day. He also sent me to a physio there I was told to keep exercising and walking. So that is what I do. I'm not looking forward to the cold weather.
JJ Good morning my darling. Sorry about the "speed rozzer".....I was only caught once in the UK but was let off by a woman P.C who said "it must be difficult to keep under 30mph in these big cars"...LOL.
No I lie...I was also "done " for speeding on the front at Brighton taking a nurse home after a party to her room at Hove General......happy days..........the happiest of my life.
Now I didn't realise that one could get 600mgm Ibuprofen in the UK, but RATTER is right 1800mgms is a hefty dose.........doesn't 1200mgms do the trick?
