At the end of my tether!
My 3 year old daughter took her time to be potty trained, she mastered the art of the poos before the pees and after a frustrating few months of her constantly wetting herself she seemed to get the hang of it, we had a good couple of weeks and then she started pooing herself! It can be small amounts several times a day so my HV suggested movicol to get her cleaned out and into a routine. That didn't work all that happened is the mess I have to clean up is bigger than before! The main problem is she doesn't even try to go to the toilet she just carries on as normal untill its discovered or she decides to own up! I'm at my wits end I don't know what to try next......any suggestions greatfully recieved.
TIA

OK, it's not nice for you, but it's not exactly a ball park for her either
When she owns up or it is discovered just a quick 'oops a daisy' from you will suffice and clean up with no further words about it but continue the conversation about another subject
Is she at nursery yet?

Thanks all, she was completely potty trained then I had my baby boy in March and she started wetting herself as a reaction to that, we were patient and just went with it but it went on for 12 weeks untill she started nursery and she has only had one or two pee accidents since she started in July. The pooing is a new thing and I'm trying to be patient I just get so frustrated that I can't help her.
A new baby often makes older siblings regress, much more than we will ever know
The new baby has all the attention as far as she sees things and I would lay money on this being her issue
For the nursery staff to miss wet and/or dirty knickers isn't to surprising TBH and easily done, however, I would encourage your DD to tell them if she does this - and to not say anything if she forgets and dont say anything about the nursery staff in front of her either. Speak to them out of her earshot
It is incredibly hard to keep patient, believe me I know, but one small sign of frustration, annoyance etc and it will be back to square one every time
The fact she is interested in her brother's nappy doesn't mean she 'gets it' but is more likely to be 'if he can so the heck can I!'
She wont be doing it for ever

You could try turning herattitude around by way of reward.
I used to give my daughter a small bar of kinder chocolate ( The individual ones in a box) for every morning she didn't have a wet bed.
For every day she is clean, give her a treat and then point out her baby brother doesn't get a treat because he has a dirty nappy.
