Anyone ever 'recovered' sufficiently to have been taken off these tablets. I also take thyroxine and ramipril....?

By "recovered" I guess that you mean that the cholesterol levels have returned to normal and stayed that way for over a year?

If so...yes, by a change in lifestyle then many have "recovered"

Apologies if I have missed the point.
my cholestrol went right down to 3. 5 quite quickly, but doctor wouldnt let me come off them. Not on any other medication
i do not have a high cholesterol, but i believe they are for lifetime use , in certain patients.
the meds have caused that change so the doc will prob want you on them for a while, before gradually reducing the dose.
