Surgical instrument left in gum by dentist
7 Answers
My daughter went to a dentist and the x ray showed what he guessed(can't be definite without opening her gum up)a spiral shaped tiny bit of a surgical instrument that was probably left in when she had extensive root canal work done in Crete 3 yrs ago.He said she would have to go to a specialist dental surgeon to have it taken out which would be very expensive. As she is a low earner it would seem restrictive.Anyone out there any experience of this or are you a dentist and have any advice to offer? Is it harmful?Could it dislodge and cause trouble?
