Help with a rash

Hey my 19 year old has had a rash since last Sunday. She has peeling hands and small blisters, think its due to stress, as older daughter gets it when stressed. She now has what started like hives all over her body, from scalp to toes and is spreading on her face. It is very ichy, gets worse as the day goes on. Been to doctors twice, seen three different ones, they don't know what it is. She doesn't feel ill, had a sore throat a couple of weeks ago. Had 3 lots of blood taken and given Prednislolone 5mg 4 a day and Diprobase it makes the rash worse. neither are helping. Any ideas?

Sounds like guttate psoriasis but hopefully Sqad will be around (my daughter suffers from this and it is triggered by a sore throat)

hi looked up images for that, her rash is more sort of orange/red in colour,the blotches vary in size. I sometimes have psoriasis, it doesn't look like the pictures. Thank you, she has suffered in the past with alopecia when she was 10 and again at 12 when she felt stressed. Just feel so useless.

Best to insist on her being referred to a specialist. I hope you get the right help.

When I had (suspected) glandular fever all the skin peeled off my hands.

I can't think of a better diagnosis than the one offered by sibton except to suggest that it may well be a anxiety related neurodermatitis.

I would have thought that a steroid cream and an anxiolytic tablet may due the trick.

Thanks for the replies, seen 3 more doctors and 2 more lots of bloods, and still no idea. Still got the rash, gets worse as the day goes on. Being referred to a skin specialist, hopefully be soon.
