Sorry not the nicest of questions but how many times a day do you have a number 2 and is it the same time of the day it's just I need to go as soon as I wake in the morning and then can sometimes go up to another 4 times in the same day seems a bit excessive to me
I saw a colorectal consultant this week, she wasn't worried about the pattern of going only whether it is normal for the patient. Unfortunately I have to have a sigmoidoscopy next month.
Numerous but I have a fast transit and malabsorption condition (the former undoubtedly a result of the latter) so nothing stays in me long though better with meds. I went for a pill camera scan and it was thought it might have lost contact with the receiver early until the nurse doublechecked the tape and it had cleared my system in under 5 hours from memory.
Is it normal when you go? Mine usually isn't due to the condition and much worse since my gallbladder came out - hoping it'll settle more soon as not even the meds are having much effect.
Usually every morning just after I get up (I put that down to gravity) but then other times in the day depending on what I've eaten. I have a fast transit time. If I don't go every day, I feel very sluggish and get a headache.
About 3 times a week. When you go a lot in a day is it just a little at a time? On embarrassing bodies last night they actually quoted the normal range to be 3 times a day to 3 times a week.
For years I used to go once a day about half an hour after getting up. Now I have IBS and have good days (twice a day) and very bad days (up to 8 times a day)
Once a day, first thing in the morning, regular as clockwork. But "Dr" Gillian McKeith reckons you should go several times a day, so maybe you've got it right. Although she is a poo-obsessed nutter I have to say.
There was a man on 'Embarrasing Bodies' the other night who only went every two weeks.
The bowel specialist said once or twice a day was the norm. Otherwise see your doc for a check up. There is so many cases of Bowel Cancer these
days and so many people ignore the prob because of embarrasment. So many cases could be sorted before hand if only people would see their doc.
