I have both but don't think they're connected.
The only thing that I can think of is that if your ibs has caused long sessions on the loo, then the poor seating position on the loo might cause postural lower back pain..

It seemed to start up at the same time lower back pain and I'm only guessing ibs it hasn't been confirmed but i have all the right symptoms for ibs
if it was me and you haven't had your ibs properly diagnosed, i would be popping to the doc.
You need a clinical diagnosis of IBS - what did your doc say?

Nibble doc says leave it a little longer see how it goes apparantly to diagnose ibs it would mean a camara being put up there so she said to wait a bit
Well I have IBS (diagnosed by doc) and it sometimes gives me backache - caused by the painful trapped wind of IBS. Since being on Colafac tablets I am much better.

Interesting Ann the back problems seemed to start the same time as the stomach problems I would Like to get a proper diagnoses but not sure I like the camara idea
