I don't know what the symptoms are if you are lacking in d vitamin but I have started to feel lethargic and down in the dumps for no real reason I do have a Underactive thyroid but take medication for that so could just be lack of sunshine
If you are not getting enough in your food, of course. You can take up to 10 times the recommended daily dose in complete safety.
Rickets. BUt you'd need to be missing a great deal of Vitamin D to be suffering from that.

"My first wife died from eating mushrooms."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
"So was she."
"My second wife died from a fractured skull."

"She wouldn't eat the mushrooms!"
No....can,t see the point, but if you feel the need, then go ahead.
Recent studies have shown that many in this country are deficient on Vit D. We do not get enough sun from September through April, and it is also difficult to get the recommended 20 minutes per day sun exposure on bare skin.
I started Vit D3 sublingual spray back in September, and it helped make the winter a bit more bearable.
The sun is about to come out.

April showers / May flowers.

Improved Blood pressure level is actually the most critical sign of all. A few research has shown that low levels of Vitamin D bring about hypertension in men. It's also found out that the percentage of strokes is actually much higher mainly during the winter months, when there exists an inferior contact with sun rays. Remember that you will need to get out for some natural light every day, giving simply no significance to the time of year.
