I'm not totally sure the mouthwash is to blame but I have suffered a few psuedo-sore throats & bunged up feelings lately. Can mouthwash kill off the necessary bacteria and make the throat more susceptible to infection? I don't always use mouthwash but have gone back to it recently using a brand I've not tried before.
No, there is nothing to suggest that using mouthwash predisposes to recurrent sore throats.
The mouth bacteria play little or no part in preventing infections.
There has been certain suggestions that using mouthwash predisposes one to mouth cancer due to the alcohol in the mouthwash.
They don't ban acid foodstuffs. And they allow us to wash up in what is considered everywhere else in the world to be a carcinogenic cleaning liquid. Not sure you can put your trust in governments or any elite.
