Olbas Oil.................
Same here ibizaboy, the only other thing to try is Neilmed sinus rinse. I use it a couple of times a week & it does help. Not very nice to use but gets easier with use!
What do you mean by "sinusitis?"

Pain in the face? Discharge from your nose? Blocked nose? Sneezing?

Have you had an X-ray of your sinuses....if so what was the result?

Just making sure, that you have indeed "sinusitis."

hi "squad" yep pain in top left jaw, resulting in "false toothache" had 2 xrays, teeth are fine. nose is fine, been through the 2 week dripping tap nose, thats now stopped. just have very blocked maxillary sinuses. oh and def not hay fever.!
Still the question is not answered........are the X-Rays of your sinuses been done and were they normal?
There is a product called Grapefruit Seed Extract which will help with the 'drip' available in Chemists and Health Shops. Tastes like cats xxxx so make sure and have a fruit drink nearby after u take it. Would love to know if it works for you. Also avoid dairy products

yes, all x rays of sinusus done and came back clear/fine.
Alcohol sets me off sometimes. White wine makes it much worse. Red wine is luckily not such a problem.
OK...then we are not dealing with sinusitis, so sprays, drops et al will be of no avail as there seems to be no diagnosis.

I would suggest seeing a neurologist.
May be just a cycle of irritation set up by all the self treatments sometimes if you live with it for a while no matter how uncomfortable it goes away..
Have you tried sterimar? Its a spray made from filtered sea water. You spray it up your nose as often as you like, it sounds horrible but is actually soothing t inflamed tissue and washes out any festering gunk. Its not cheap but i used to get sinusitis a few times a year, now its reduced markedly and the duration is down to less than 24 hours because i use this stuff. No drugs, no side effects by the way.
