I have been getting a few I figure just due to weather though I overheat very easily anyway - am like a little hot water bottle to touch in some parts like round my upper back and neck and when joints hot and swollen.
I was literally stripping off (not completely!) and fanning myself in the hospital earlier as I felt like I was burning up I felt so hot, was actually perspiring! Probably from coming from a grim outside into a warm hospital building with no natural airflow.
I was told that menopausal hot flushes are quite unique in themselves (no idea personally but heard a few people say it).

My Mum sailed through menopause, she had some migraines but not many, no flushes, nothing. Mine has been long and a damned nuisance. I too get the sicky feeling with the flushes and sometime dizziness. The nearest I can describe it as is like a whizzy fairground ride sickness and dizziness, at worst it use to feel like falling backwards. I learned to roll over onto my back when it started because lying on your stomach, it felt like falling backwards upwards away from the bed which is interesting but not something you want to repeat.

Lots of herbal remedies you can try, not sure if they work or see your GP
