Ladies what age were

You when you started the menopause? On average the ladies I have spoken to started it at 51 I still have no signs of it and I'm 55 is this a good thing or not I wonder

It changes for everyone, there isn't a pattern. My sister started her in her forties, other people go on into their late fifties.

(I had a hysterectomy at 45 so didn't actually have one, went straight onto HRT with no symptoms at all).

My wife started in her early forties, and she had a difficult time of it. She has never had children: I don't know if that makes a difference. She went to a health food shop and asked if they had anything that would alleviate the headaches, and she was given something called Skullcap, which helped.

54 - thought the really heavy periods were never going to stop. Had one in the February then now't! Apart from hot flushes I sailed through with the help of Evening Primrose.

Bang on 50 for me. Best friend was only 38 and daughter 43. Wide variations.

I started at around 38. Now at age 44 I haven't had a period for two years and started HRT a month and a half ago.

No correct answer to this. A colleague started at 26. Most of my family start at 50-ish. It happens when it happens.

It depends on lots of things fruitsalad. Hormone levels play their part as does whether you have children or not. Me being the latter started the menopause early, apparently lots of ladies do. I was mid forties. Keep your birth control up !!

My friend is 59 and still having regular periods fruitsalad. Her doc says its just one of those things. I was 51 when I started the menopause.

56 - Sqad might correct me on this but later menopause not so good for breast cancer risk but better for bone density protection.

57 for me. Periods just stopped dead, no problems at all, no hot flushes.

The age is vary for everyone. Some women start hit the menopause at the age of 30s or 40s or some 50s. You many hit the post menopause. So don't worry. Take a proper diet food. And Do regular exercise this all will helps you to stay healthy and fit.
