Following on from my post on Monday, I'm still feeling lousy; sneezing, coughing, blocked nose the lot. Have tried all the across the counter remedies, but think I'll just take lots of fluids and get lots of sleep. Anyone any idea how long this could last? Developing cabin fever!
twelve days, maggie - I got rid of the fever on day 2 and feeling rotten day 4, but then I had an issue for four days of being ok in the morning and knackered after about 6pm. After that it was the nose and sinuses and now (largely) clear.
Thanks DTC, will just try to be patient. I fall asleep on the settee every evening about 5.30 for a couple of hours and can still sleep all night. Going to go for a walk tomorrow to see if I can blow some of the cobwebs away.
Join the club, I've only had this one 8 days, coughing sneezing blocked nose etc. The one I had in September lasted for almost 3 months, that was almost like whooping cough I was literally gasping for breath at night. I found that head over a bowl of steamy Vick eased the congestion, and Jakemans cough sweets for the cough. Went through 2 lots of anti-biotics that didn't really work.
I've had manflu since last friday. The nose is improving but I can feel it going to my chest. Lord knows how I've managed to go to work this week but I have and I'm a tiny bit proud of it.
You have my sympathies.
I had noro and after effects from dec 10 to 17 then the cold started on dec 19th and I still have it. The only thing that seems to work is rest and plenty of fluids. I overdid it on monday (shopping AND dental hygienist, I know how to live.) and was like a wet miserable rag on tuesday. This has been a dreadful year for virus based stuff, several of my friends have had the same and we are all normally healthy folk.
