I Have Broken A Couple Of Ribs

Thought I would do some gardening - ha-ha! Only out there a couple of minutes when a recalcitrant weed made me fall and unfortunately I hit my rib cage on a low wall and have broken a couple of ribs. Anyone got any hints on how to cope? Doc has given me strong pain killers but I would like to only take them when I am desperate. In the meantime would appreciate any help. I know the first one is - stupid, what were you thinking of at your age, but I already know that one.

Doc has given me some strong painkillers with 30mg. codeine and 500mgs. paracetamol - think I shall be walking on air when I take these alba!! Thanks for the hug smowball.
