Milk
38 Answers
Just after having some weetabix with a little milk - knew something was funny - but ate it anyway - thought it was a bad taste in my mouth - however it was the milk - can't believe it bought it on Wednesday night and right enough had a sniff of it - completely off - looked at the date 17 March - I am finding my milk always going off - I think the milk has never never been the same since putting them into these plastic containers which have to have to chemicals in them to make them - no wonder there are so much sickness - between clingfilm and clingfilm dinner and microwaves - I believe it adds so much to sickness. The bottles of milk were the best - I know I have talked about this before but this afternoon has put me really off. The fridge is fine because nothing else ever goes off. What do you think.

Am that mad started to google for glass bottle milk nothing came up. However my cousin get glass bottled milk when I saw her gleaming milk bottle outside the door I wanted to ask her where she - she said right enough a milk man - but there was other stuff going ie conversation never got around to asking about him - will do another time as right now she has the flu - so don't want to bother her but they are out there some where.
That's unusual. I don't buy milk from Sainsbury's as often as I do from Tesco or Asda (simply because I have to go past Asda, Morrisons and Tesco to get to my nearest Sainsbury's) but I can't recall any problems with their milk.
If you write to Sainsbury's to complain you'll probably get a phone call from a very nice lady, followed up a few days later by a £5 gift card. (You can tell that I'm not slow to complain!)

I can't say I have a problem with milk going off.
I buy organic semi-skimmed, usually in plastic and occasionally in cardboard cartons.
There have been grumblings about the use of plastics in food packaging but I can't recall seeing any peer reviewed empirical evidence to support any claims of a detrimental effects on health.
