Methotrexate Side Effects
3 Answers
For any of you arthritis sufferers about who have it or have been on it, have you ever had any weird shooting pain kind of side effects?
I spoke to a GP earlier as I had been getting shooting pains in my legs just over a week ago and the last couple of days have been getting them in my arms and a lot of stabbing pains in my wrists and ridiculously exhausted. He thinks it's the methotrexate "slamming" into my system after going onto injections and ramping up the dose to 25mg. Apparently it can give you abnormal feelings in your limbs!
Anyone else experienced this (and preferably how long it lasted)? I've been taking folic acid every day save methotrexate day and using omeprazole and stemetil for the heartburn and nausea which has resurfaced since I went up a dose. GP said to double my pregabalin from tonight and I can triple it from Monday to help too. Any other tips welcome, been getting harder and harder to get through work.
Have learn my lesson from seeing if I can swim with my dodgy shoulders during a spa day last weekend...answer is a bit fat no and have been in big huge pain with shoulders all week...oops... Roll on steroid injections in shoulders next week! Hope you all are doing ok.
Ps, Sqad, if you see this, my neck issue seems to have eased a lot after a the spa day, a looong time in the Jacuzzi and gorgeous massage and it's playing nice :)
