Eye Problem.

Other half has just got up and his right eye is all closed up and puffy. It also
itches. What should he do? Don't want to make it worse.

Go to a local chemists and explain the problem. They should be able to recommend an eye wash. If appropriate.

Sounds allergic in origin.

As Zac says and ask chemist for antihistamine eye drops.

If you can't get to the chemist yet bath the eye in warm salty water. That usualy helps.

Thank you both for your advice. He's been bathing his eye four times a day with optrex. Couldn't persuade him to go up a and e. It still looks nasty and he wont stop rubbing it. He'll have to wait until the doctors open Tuesday now. I think he's daft [but he wont be told].That's men for you!

You can buy chloramphenicol eye drops from the chemist - good for eye infections and costs about a fivr (cheaper than a prescription). But if he uses this, don't bathe the eye. Bet you this will clar it up and ge might not need to go to the dr's. Give it a whirl......lcg x
