Best Headache Tablets Please

I have really bad hormonal/menstrual headaches. The only thing that used to work was Syndol but they've been taken off the market until next Summer. Please can someone recommend a tablet that actually works for these kind of tension headaches. Thank you.

I swear by CoCodamol for pretty well anything..... you can still get specialist menstruation tablets from the chemist but it's been a while, I can't remember what they are called. Ask Boots? (I would have suggested ProPain, brilliant medication, but that's been taken off the market too)

Migralieve (sp) are pretty good.

Ibuprofen 600mgs as soon as your headaches begin.

Thanks Boxtops. I have been taking Co-codamol, but they don't have much effect. I shall ask in chemist for a tablet specifically for menstrual headaches then.

I've tried Migralieve too, but they don't have much effect either. Will try 3x Ibuprofens now as I have some handy. I took 2 last night but not much effect there either. But 3 might make a difference. Thanks all.

Thanks HC. I did notice people were selling them privately, but not sure whether to risk it, as they might be fakes and therefore dangerous. What do you think? I have no objection paying thirty quid for them though, that's what they are going for, as it would be such a relief to be pain free.

I would never consider buying pharmaceuticals from a foreign company or any stand alone website.
I looked at the reviews for that company on Amazon and they are all good. There is a returns address in Chessington.

If you are happy with the price, buy them. If you have any doubts at all it will cost you nothing to return them.

Thanks HC. I clicked on that link but couldn't find Syndol. Are there headache tablets equivalent to a sledgehammer? I would love some. These headaches are so painful they make me cry, and I don't cry easily. They make me feel sick, and make lights seem too bright, and make me speak very slowly and I find I don't want to speak at all. Are there any tablets with similar ingredients to Syndol on the market?

They've taken it off the market until next Summer. I don't know why. They took it off for a few months and then it was back on again for a few months. I'm really annoyed with myself that I didn't stock up when they were back in the shops briefly.

Not quite what you asked but I cured my menstrual migraine completely by having a course of reflexology.
Every month I would have to leave work as soon as one side of my face went numb which lead to all of the classic migraine symptoms.
I had six reflexology sessions and have never had another migraine.

Thanks HC, that's so kind of you to find them, but how do I know they're for real? I'm probably too cynical for my own good. But if they're making 40 quid for one box it would be worth their while to make forgeries.

I've had reflexology and head massage today and another 3xIbuprofen, but still have headache. Really I'm looking for something that's as close to Syndol as possible. Thanks

understood sqad (I used to take cocodamol + prochlorperazine for my migraines in those days) - marjin, the stronger versions like Solpadeine Plus tend to knock me out but are effective. A specialist drug would be better, though, IMO.
