Fractured Wrist
1 Answers
I fractured my wrist just over 3 weeks ago and I had my arm in a sling for the first week. I shall be in plaster for almost two more weeks and I've been getting aches on and off and quite strong twinges of pain. Would this suggest that the fracture is not healing? I've been doing little bits and pieces with this arm although not holding anything of weight. In my 60+ years I've never broken any bones before so am not au fait with the healing process.

Just a guess...... but I think that you have incurred a Colles Fracture of the wrist. \\\\\I've been getting aches on and off and quite strong twinges of pain. Would this suggest that the fracture is not healing? \\\ No it wouldn't necessarily. Be patient and wait for your check X-Ray and as long as your fingers don't go blue, then don't worry.
