Yes I know, I'm still droning on about this. After several trips to doc and repeated prescriptions of anti-biotics/codeine/amitriptalin, and an X-ray which came back clear. Hospital stated that I've likely sprained my back and the medication prescribed and the things I've been doing so far have not ben consistent in getting it healed, hence the intense pain.
I took 4 days off work with it last week, and I actually felt it was worse for resting (this was prior to hospital visit). I've been advsied to treat it with paracetamol/Ibuprofen/a much lower dose of codeine & ice packs (for 48 hours) as well as some stretching exercises. At first this felt great, the ice brought instant relief, it was as if it unlocked the pain, sadly almost 48 hours on, the pain is very much still there and the ice and everything else doesn't seem to be taking the edge off :-(. I know I need to give things time, but can anyone advise how long - maybe?

I will increase the stretching exercises - it probably explains why it always feels worse when I'm off work; as I've been resting at the weekends as advised, but the pain was always way more intense - it's bearable when I'm at work!
