Bazile...LOL...I will be honest.......we NEVER have anybody staying with us, not even the kids or especially the grandchildren, all we ask in our retirement is a bit of peace and quietness.
Friends and family have and do come over, but they stay in hotels or villas and we see them perhaps once or twice a week for a meal. We can't stand being in other people's pockets and we can't stand them being in our's.

It works for us.........;-)

Old is relative.... my sister is five years older than my MIL, and there is no comparison between them. My MIL (bless her) is of the cream raincoat and blue rinse brigade, and considers herself too old for most things - my sister is up for anything new that comes her way. I know which I'd rather be.
