Knee-Joint-Replacement Recovery Time ---?
6 Answers
Although I'am very grateful for my total knee-replacement-joint (24/12/2014) Four months down the line and I'm confident that most of the after-op swelling and pain has mostly disappeared and I'm off the crutches on the advice of the Physiotherapist and just using one stick,I'm happy things are progressing well,BUT,when I'm walking (sometimes) I feel/hear a strange kind of "clicking"/click-click-click/ "Spanish-castanets"-type of sound, Most important of all is the former pain from the bone against bone(worn out cartillage) has gone,so I'm very happy about that,BUT,the sound bothers me,I suppose, this is a price worth paying and I'll have to learn to live with this in the safe knowledge that my knee is now metal/plastic (Bionic!) I'm grateful for any opinion/advice.

Hi Dinger, welcome to the repknee club ! Had mine done back in 2005 and ever since that time it has "clicked". Saw my GP who was a specialist in Orthopaedics and he said quite normal, nothing to worry about.Hope this helps. FBG40
