I breakfast (porridge or cereal) between 7.30 - 8 a.m., my lunch is any time between 1 and 2 p.m. and is usually a salad or home made soup, i have an apple at about 5.30 and my evening meal between 7 and 7.30. With my last brew of the day at 10 p.m. i usually have another apple or a health bar. It's all a matter of educating your gut to expect less.
I always cut a massive bowl of salad every morning, drink a pint of water before and after every meal, eat protein at every meal and snack on the salad between times. Soup for at least one meal per day and you are never hungry, it's a super easy diet ( mine is slightly complicated by the fact that I'm a type one diabetic so have a small amount of carbs with each meal too) but essentially that's it for anyone who isn't.
It will subside eventually, but in the meantime try a healthy snack or a cup of coffee.
I'm quite a fan of rice cakes. Find them near the crisps or near the cheese biscuits in the supermarket. There is nothing to them and they resemble polystyrene! but they are good as a snack. Either have them with a very light spread and marmite, or very low fat cream or cottage cheese, or try the blueberry flavoured ones for a sweet treat. They are about 30 calories each.
