I have just signed a government e-petition asking for the removal of all subsidies at the bars at Westminster. I think it is our duty to express concern about the health of politicians who may be drinking too much in view of the concern they express towards the health of the rest of us.

Well done.
How altruistic of you. Well done.
Probably a worthy cause, but hardly an urgent one. Removes a perk of the job paid for by the taxpayer.
Is is subsidised or just sold at not for profit rates like working men's clubs do?
Last May a pint of bitter was £2.60 and a pint of Beck's lager £3.20. The prices are linked to the nearest Wetherspoon's pub, so whilst not overly cheap they are cheap for plush surroundings in central London.
so not subsidised then?
'' working mens club '' at Westminster LOL .
For members of the Labour party only, anne !
no tony, not even them. !
Well not since Blair anyway, anne. His lot only drink champagne.
