our company is there 3-4 times a week - the changes over the past 6 years or so are profound. not all bad, it has to be said; if the birthrate was not as high as it now is, Pilgrim Hospital's maternity (and support) services would have closed long ago.

Oddly enough, Mushroom, I was offered a post at Boston High School quite a few years ago, but have not visited since. I chose not to take the offer up in the end. I do believe that it has quite a high proportion of immigrants now, which I suspect is because of the agricultural employment opportunities in the surrounding area.
It is often claimed that these are the very jobs that native-born people simply don't want and/or refuse to take. Accordingly, it's just as well that there is somebody there to pull up leeks, flowers or whatever and keep the growers in business.
As you say, the changes are "not all bad" and that is my precise point throughout this thread.

The Liberal right on brigade (LROB) as you call them were just echoing the Prime Minister. You seem to be suggesting that the people agreeing with Cameron are politically to the left.

That makes no sense at all. The people who supported Cameron rebuking Fallon did so because he was right. Fallon went off the Party line, and the Prime Minister had to call out his error.

Perhaps they should all save time and rebrand as UKIP asap.
