Are you well, are you jaundiced, is your urine dark and are you on any medications?
41 does seem a bit high, but normal values vary from lab to lab. Has it been " highlighted" on the report as high?
Are the rest of the blood results normal?
Sorry can't say much more without further details.

The upper limit of normal is about 17-20 micromoles/L
There are many many possible causes of this ranging from from congenital Gilbert's disease where it is of no or little significance, to liver disease/blood disorders.
The consequences and whether it can be reversed depend on the underlying cause.
In the first place one would need to know what the other liver function tests were.

This was one of a number of tests for various things , from a blood sample .
I have this regularily , since the past few years ( sort of a mot i suppose ) .
Looking at the print out , apart from the bilirubin , the only other things i noticed, which appears to be outside of the range they give , is the following -
250HDT
50-220
25 OH Vitamin D2 2.9 NMOL/L
--------
FBC
1-4.5
Lymphocytes Absolute 1.69 10*9/L
-------------
Glomerular Filtration Rate /Creatinine
eGFR 86 mL/min/1.7
------------
The readings for LFT ( Which i presume is the liver function )
Alanine AT 22 < 41 U/L
Albumin 43 35-50 g/L
20 - 130
Alk Phosphatase 73 U/L

Not sure what the 250HTD is, or indeed what "Alanine AT 22 < 41 U/L" means.
Are there any results for ALT AST or Gamma GT?
The rest seem borderline /normal except for the vitamin D which looks low - if it is indeed 22.9 nmol/L (or is it 2.9?)
Deficiency is classified as less than 25 nmol/L and needs treatment.
Insufficiency is a level between 25-35 nmol/L
As usual, best to take these results to your GP, as he/she may wish to repeat the bilirubin, and do some other tests, as well as considering giving you some Vitamin D.
All in all there is not anything too abnormal there.

Thanks slaney - iv'e ( finally ) manage to post the figures for the bilirubin .
Trouble with typing on here is that when it is submitted , it does not align up to the way you type it . It merges into one .
There are numbers and words on the left hand side which should align with those on the right hand side of the page .
250HDT seems to be the heading under which tests were carried out for Vitamin D , D2 , D3
This
"Alanine AT 22 < 41 U/L"
should appear like this
Alanine AT 22 < 41 U/L
//Are there any results for ALT AST or Gamma GT? //
There is nothing that mentions those
//The rest seem borderline /normal except for the vitamin D which looks low - if it is indeed 22.9 nmol/L (or is it 2.9?)

it appears as follows -
25 OH Vitamin D2 2.9 NMOL/L
