Swollen Glands In The Neck

I have swollen gland in my neck and wondered how long it will take to go down?

I have surgery on the 9th and really don't want it to be cancelled because of it.

I have had it for a couple of days.

My husband has had a cold for about five days and at first I thought he had given it too me but rather than develope a cold I have a lump on one side of my neck but it actually hurts both sides. It also hurts like Billy's to swallow. and I've had it only about two maybe three days.

I have taken lemsip which has helped with the pain

You had better see your GP tomorrow as the neck lump may preclude your surgical procedure on the 9th.

I had a sore throat some time ago and my gland on one side has never gone down.
