I Do Not believe in God. However, I could be proved wrong if there are ABers who can account for the reasons that 'God' subjects us mere mortals to Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Lightning, Volcanic eruptions, etc. Also tyrannical forces such as Isis and killer diseases such as Cancer.

Surely, if 'God' is all powerful, he/she is able to control matters in a more appropriate manner than appearing to be 'sitting back' and doing nothing.

A deity does not subject you to these things, they merely can not protect you without you realising that you were effectively invulnerable and taking unreasonable advantage of it.

I believe the devoutly religious explain what to some is wanton cruelty as a matter of "God is testing our faith"......i.e. if one begins to feel He/She should use the powers to prevent the horrors instead of just going "Ho, hum, **** happens", then one has simply miserably failed the test.
