Went to dr yesterday due to some inflammation on my penis which i have been treating with thrush cream.
They took pee samples and a swab and couldn't find anything, so sent my samples for further analysis. I got a text this morning saying my urine has tested positive for chlamydia.
How is this possible? I have been with my OH for two years and both of us have been faithful. I did have a bit of a promiscuous lifestyle before we got together but I have not been with anyone else since. I am sure he hasnt either.
Sexual and mental health clinics have different codes of conduct due to situations such as potentially having to discuss / communicate the results in a public place. Imagine if someone texted you to call them instantly whilst you were surrounded by work colleges to talk about chlamydia? A text is far more discreet. This correlates with mental health issues also.
Back to you Question laughing man. I'm not pretending to be a medical professional. If you are sure that you have had no symptoms, however insignificant since your last screening then you have to question if your partner has had a small indiscretion that he is not willing to tell you about. Its no big deal if you can talk it over and Chlamydia for males is far less worrying than for females and easily treated.
"Getting your test results
With some tests, you can get the results – and treatment, if you need it – on the same day. For others, you might have to wait for a week or two. If this is the case, the clinic will check how you would prefer to receive your results."
yes I am spath. I have a chronic incurable health condition that requires regular hospital tests. I get the results by mail. If the results come into my GP office I will get a telephone call but they will not leave a message on the machine other than 'call the surgery please'.
