I might fall into one of those groups but it depends where the boundaries are set.

I don't smoke, most weeks my alcohol intake doesn't exceed 14 units and my BMI is within the recommended range (although I'd still like to lose a few kilos).

However my fruit and veg intake doesn't comply with the '5 a day' guidelines (although I try to eat a couple of portions of fruit each day) and I'm unsure as to whether my 'activity' rate is high enough. (I can still walk several miles without any effort, and I do try to get some exercise each, but I'm not sure that it's enough to meet the guideline level).
I stand in the "I couldn't give a toss" class. I hate that people are being made to feel bad because they are living a normal lifestyle.

Don't disagree with the link in the OP. Have not smoked for 20 + years, I do drink but not within 12 hours of driving and I have a reasonable level of physical activity, dog walking weights etc, ask my task master Tash.
Scaremongering
I drink too much, eat some fruit and veg, but not always 5 a day and I don't do a lot of exercise.
I feel quite healthy, but I've no idea what's going on inside my body and when it might catch up with me.
unhealthy because i don't get out much to exercise, haven't ever smoked, drink patchily, usually when i am at my brothers and even then its not much, get at least two portions of veg a day, and some fruit.
I hate that we in the UK are made to feel guilty because we don't eat 'five a day', drink more than 14 units of booze per week, drink less than 1.5 ltrs of water a day. What a load of rubbish

I don't eat enough fruit. I rarely eat fruit. I do lots of exercise but the benefits of that are outweighed by the drinking and smoking, I imagine.

It will all catch up with me, one day.

>>> I hate that we in the UK are made to feel guilty because we don't eat 'five a day'

Don't move to France then, 237SJ. The recommended fruit & veg intake there is '13 a day'.

Gosh, is it really?
I`ve had about 4 portions of veg since Friday. I don't care though. and wine is made from grapes

I like you 237 :-)
>>> Gosh, is it really?

I've heard that figure quoted on several radio programmes but I can't quickly find a link to it.

However researchers are now suggesting that the UK guideline should be increased to '10 a day':

I eat lots of vegetables but find fruit boring, unless it's English Strawberries. I could eat strawberries until they come out of my ears...as they say.

My least favourite fruit is apples. I don't eat apples.
I`ve just been in Hong Kong. They do veg very well. We do it in a boring capacity. I would eat much more veg if I lived in the Far East
I'm a 5 due to smoking and low veg intake. I don't drink that much and I'm not overweight but know I lead an unhealthy lifestyle. Will change next year maybe???
Question Author
I need to moderate my drinking and smoking. This year, next year, sometime, never. :-(
Give up the smoking.
237SJ I stand in the "I couldn't give a toss" class.

So do I.
My BMI is lower end of normal, I eat plenty of organic fruit and veg (way above recommended) but I do drink a bit now and likewise smoke a bit now, although I'l, stop both once I get home for Christmas.
