The battle plan, having more people manning the 111 number, What for? for them to tell you to self isolate, that's if you get through at all, you may have to listen to a recorded message of the lords prayer while waiting for them to tell you that.

Well prepared, or even partly prepared would be to have done what China did, masses of beds on stand by, and a lot more than 50/ 500 ventilators in stock. Maybe time to stop giving £3 a month to all the other crapp, and divert ones £3 a month to ventilators, as it don't look like the government worry to much about not having them. Rant over:0)

Also I wouldn't expect Trump to be an expert scientist, but I *would* expect him to defer more often to medical experts on such matters. For some reason he seems to think that a deployable CoViD-19 vaccine is only a few months away, but it's closer to over a year.

It's important for him to get his facts right, and not to confuse the issue by making these sorts of mistakes. That's common sense and should be above politics. You know what I think of him, but I hope you can see past that to the more serious point that with an impending pandemic we need to rely on world leaders either to know what they are talking about, or to know when to shut up and let the experts speak.

What needs to be taken into account, is that other diseases haven't gone away, people are still contracting colds & flu in parallel to this new virus just as they always do.

Just so you know I voted for Boris, and still support him. But with something like this we don't need bull. What we do need is the truth from the early stage, and implement practical measures as far as possible. A few weeks ago I suggested that supermarkets should implement hand cleanser at the door, and I'm sure these big boys could muster up a stronger solution, its the one place that most people visit, this in my mind is a practical step. I went into a well know supermarket toilet yesterday, and it was filthy, you would catch more bugs by using the taps and soap than you would wash away. Big stores should be forced to implement cleansing hands at the door to try and help this situation.

even if people do enter and have before entered the effected areas, the reception will again ask them ,and they have to sign a form saying they have not and I’d imagine the next step would be a heavy fine if they have lied
