Some folk live more than that from a little local shop... :-) Last time we did try a sort of relay for the ones up the mountain but it got confusing and we all ended up in the same field.
We can meet one other household but only if we are doing some outdoor exercise at the same time. So that's me and Dave doing press ups and star jumps when we want to say hello to Pat and Bridie. They are 6K away but we can meet halfway in the field with the donkeys at the bottom of their lane.
Avoid public transport. That's okay though. We only have Rolly with his minivan on request and he rarely answers the phone.
You?

By the time we come out gness, we'll prob forget what we are celebrating ;)
We're in total lockdown, no house visits, we can go to shops that are more than 5 miles away if that is the closest shop, there is that leeway, but we cannot just take a jaunt to next town for the sake of shopping. The numbers are too high now, to be taking things for granted - I have an appt in the next county on Monday morning - the virus is so easy spread we have decided (I have decided to postpone the appt) until one or both of us have the vaccine

Evidently, it hasn't affected the craic.....good luck over there.
I have this covid thing tied down and surprised you Irish don't....the only part of the UK in tier 1 is the Scilly Isles - and the vicar over there, who I know, described his congregation as '3000 drunks living on rocks.'
There must be a linkage, one that you on the Emerald Isle surely ascribe too! Play it to its maximum..... Hic.
