How dare these people who boycott the NHS's Covid preventative measures then take up valuable NHS time/resources by exploiting the NHS's Covid curative measures.
We must be humane and treat everyone the same. He says he made a mistake and will tell people and that is fine with me, his case may make more non vaccinators have it.
Because everyone is entitled to be stupid and take risks. It would be hugely expensive to try to work out who to sue, instead of treat. Nothing illegal there.
//"About half of them had chosen not to be vaccinated" which means half of them had been doesn't it?//
Not necessarily. Some may not have been able to have the vax for medical reasons, or had not yet been called, or had just had their first shot & were waiting for the second.
Also "Some have had two vaccines and so have had milder disease - they are alive on Cpap (non-invasive ventilation with oxygen) when without the vaccine they would probably be dead,"
For the same reason smokers expect to be treated for lung and heart disease, alcohol abusers for liver failure and other substance abusers for the health issues they are prey to. The health service experiences huge outcries if it tries to ration care or suggest that people's decision to endanger their lives is a choice they should live with.
Or anyone overweight, smokers, drinkers, pregnant, involved in a plane crash, lost at sea, climbing a mountain, climbing a ladder.. how do you work out the percentage of "fault"?
And can people counter- sue someone they believe gave them covid?
