Hi Noseynose/jno. I also thought hysterectomy but even that is rarely a stay that long in hospital. I just don't understand why they chose to announce that it was abdominal surgery and then not divulge what sort of surgery. Why therefore did they not just say she was having some sort of pre-planned surgery and leave it at that?

When my wife had a hysterectomy many years ago she was out of hospital two days later.  It is a very straightforward operation
