After missing her for a fortnight, I got my beloved cat, Tablo, back again yesterday!
She was found about a quarter of a mile way from here by a lady who was concerned that she looked very lost and very, very skinny. She took Tablo to the vets' surgery in Stowmarket and they contacted me to ask for some more photos to confirm that it was her. While I was waiting for them to get back to me though, I'd seen a post on Facebook with a picture of the lost-looking cat, so I had little doubt in my mind that it was really Tablo.
She's really, really skinny (which is hardly surprising after a fortnight without food!) and her front claws have been totally worn away, presumably by scratching to get out of wherever she'd been locked in. (The pads on her paws are very sore too). She's also got a slight limp in her left rear paw but, for a cat who's been missing for so long, she's actually in remarkably good shape.
Since I brought her home, she's been doing her best to catch up a fortnight's fine dining. When she's not eating though, she won't let me out of her sight and is adoring all of the fuss that she's been getting.
Thanks to everyone here who posted their kind thoughts when she went missing.
