eyelashes

Hi all,

My eyelashes have started to fall out on the upper lid around the corner of mt eye, usually the right eye first, then the left eye?

Anyone know why this happens, they fine otherwise??!!

Moisturise them them some good sensitive oils-use good eye make up remover (oil based) and moisturise the area with vaseline, nivea or another oil based product. Dont rub your eyes or wear loads of thick mascara which hardens the lashes and can make the hair break.

Sometimes lashes fall out to renew themselves, but if its happenning with your hair also, check that you are not anaemic x

Hi lindaloo, some of my eyelashes started to fall out. My gp said ot was some sort of alopaecia, but would probably just localised. 6 years after diagnosis, I still suffer the same problem, and have always used vaseline on my face due to very dry skin, so I don't think that sizzles remedy would work, sorry m8. I now use a heated eyelash curler to give the impression of eyelash normality. (some success) My lash loss is in the centre of my left eyelid, which is very noticeable, I've done all I can, so it's a case of I've just got to live with it.

Have a thyroid test done at your doctors, my mum has thyroid disfunction, she lives a perfectly normal life, but it caused her eyelashs and eye brows to dissapear for a while x good luck

Thanks everyone for all your help and advice. I am trying everything, i think it could possibly be lack of iron and possibly sleep but its going on for a long time now i may need to consult my GP. thanks again though! xxx
