i would say its a good thing.
It gives your body oxygen and is really benifical.

Deep breathing is a simple step on the path to a healthy life

Breathing deeply is a simple, effective addition to a healthy lifestyle. Chronic stress leads to quick, shallow breathing which then becomes a habit. Bringing conscious attention to our breath, lengthening and deepening the drawing in of oxygen, nourishes every cell of our body and promotes relaxation. Prolonged exhalation helps get rid of stale air and toxins in our lungs.
Not sure why u really feel the need to but its not a bad thing.

I read a lot of self-imprv stuff and it says everywhere.. relax, take a deep breath. I do this all the time.
Could be to do with your posture, if you are slouching then you will not be inhaling as deeply as you could be when sitting upright.

Very rarely (I've read it in a book which I no longer have) sighing can be associated with panic attacks, bit this is generally only if you have suffered from them before.
