As you said the procedure can be dangerous so what works for one person may not work for you. Do you think the risk of paralysis is worth the 3 weeks that the treatment works? PERSONALLY would rather not take the chance of being paralised for the sake of 3 weeks pain relief but you could have the treatment and it could last for longer than 3 weeks .Have you thought about asking for a second opinion to see if there are any other options and also about different pain relief
Hi Thank you for your kind reply .the doctor at the hospital told me exactly what you have said what works for one may not work for someone else .the doctor told be before the Injection that i had to tell him or the nurse if i was about to passout as this injection was quite rare and did make some patiance do so.i must admit i had to grip the side of the trolly this injection meant me sitting upright with my chin on my chest .i very nearly did pass out but did not say anything but this was after pulling the needle out and they had to put me in the recovery position what also makes this worse is that i also suffer with Angina and this could have brought on an heart attack.i still think i am lucky and there is people a lot worse than myself .anyway i have got to tell the doctor at the hospital how long the injection worked for as he told me the surgions want a full report and may have to offer me the opperation i am also booked in at the hospital for accupuncture in 2 weeks time .thankyou again for your kind reply nice to know someone tries to help in kind advice and words thank you,. Ian
