Which is the best opticians to book my eye exam with? Does anyone know which company is the most thorough etc?

just had a very thorough one done at Boots Opticians, and they've got a two-for-one on new glasses at the moment.
Had the last one done at specsavers - never again - felt like that little sausage man on the D+H advert. Oh, and my mate swears by D+H, but their glasses are dead expensive afterwards.

I like Boots for my eye examination - very thorough always.

Don't forget you are not obliged to buy your glasses where you have the eye exam - you can take the prescription and buy your glasses wherever you like. Even online.

I would go to an OPTOMETRIST rather than just an optician.

Don't go to Specsavers, I've found them to be very rude and not at all helpful.

I go to a local opticians which are very good. Plus if you keep going there they will build a relationship with you and offer you really good discounts

i think that specsavers are very good i have been going to my local specsavers for last 12 years and they have always been very good to me!!
i have now got catarax ( and i am only 28!! )and they have been really good and got me an eye appiontment at my hospital right away!!
Its up to you where you go and if you dont like the place you can always go to another opticians.

Thanks a lot guys! i booked my appointment with Boots in the end and i was pretty happy with the service..... although they told me i did need glasses!

vision express were extremely thorough - took best part of 50 minutes
