Headache
14 Answers
I have had a headache everyday since 1st of November - I went to the doctor about a week later who said it wasn't migraine but possibly tension headaches that would go away.
It hasn't and is driving me crazy! Plus I have been taking quite a lot of painkillers, which I want to stop doing because it's not good for your body all the time, but then the headache takes ages to calm down - a vicious cycle!
I went to the optician and my eyes are fine too.
Anyone had a similar experience or knows what causes it?

i am the same as daffy654 when it gets to the time of year that i have the central heating on pretty much all the time that I am in the house and somedays are cold and wet and others seem mild again I get quite regular sore head. not every single day but today I cannot shift it. I try just to drink plenty tea/water and try not to read too much as that agrevates it. This weekend though the christmas party season starts that no doubt it will get worse..........that will be self inflicted though!
Some food/drink can bring on a headache.
I think that's what Sky's referring to:

You've had a lot of possible options to consider by now, so hopefully one of two of them will work and you'll find out what has been triggering them. I think you're right that stuffing yourself with painkillers isn't getting to the root of the problem and if it is tension which is triggering the headaches you might find that some intensive sessions of neck and upper shoulder muscle massage might help. Not so easy to do yourself, but if you have somebody who can do this for you on a regular basis it might give you some relief. Also a good self-help procedure is is regular shoulder-shrugging and circling exercises which do help to reduce muscle tension in that part of the body. if you can do them several times a day, especially if you sit staring at a computer in a fixed position, this will hopefully help.
