Personal Trainer Qualification
2 Answers
I have recently completed the Level 2 Qualification (Gym Instructor) and am now looking to do the Personal Trainer Award ASAP. My hope was to do it with Premier in February but it is 2k, plus 5 weeks off work!!! I don't think this is going to happen. I also considered the YMCA one year course, but 1yr is just too long! Does anyone know any other options in the Midlands...or near to?

He was taking a year off college after doing a sports science foundation course, with a view to going back next year to further his education. However, he told the gym from the outset that he had ambitions to become a personal trainer, within a month they have set him up on a distance learning course (with visits from the tutor) to get a similar qualification in 6 months that would have taken 2years at college, this will enable him to be a fitness instructor, after that they will train him up to personal trainer, all paid for by the company, meantime he is earning, and at the moment is in London training to be a lifeguard, also courtesy of the gym.
My advice is get a job with virgin if thats an option for you, hope that helps and good luck:-)
