shaky!
8 Answers
my teeth are a mess! ive said on here before, self inflicted, but anyway, i got tooth ache today (too much xmas chocies!), cant eat on either side of mouth, impossible without pain! been awake since 1500 today, ive taken 4 paracetamols 4 hours apart, which should be right...but now i feel abit sick (probably cuz of no food) but also feel shaky...my hands are trembling...
whats caused that to happen?
as a side note...regardless of not been able to eat, this makes no difference to me, i hardly eat anyway! ive not had 3 meals a day for a VERY long time - if im working, i just live off snacks, ya know crisps and stuff. so i dont think the foods causing the trembling.
if im honest, im not concerned, or bothered about the trembling, feel fine otherwise, just curious whats causing it!

keep warm and try eating something sensible ie toast which should calm the shakes down, its probably been made worse by taking paracetamol.
I know you dont eat normal meals but even the most seasoned junk food eater can suffer sugar highs and lows if they eat a lot of chocolate, especially if its very sweet (fondant chocolates ect)

I would say that your shakiness is caused by a low blood sugar level (you did say you'd had no food). You need to eat something like toast (as cazzz suggests), preferably wholemeal cos it takes longer to digest or, failing that, some digestive biscuits, a baked potato, a banana, beans on toast or porridge (something like that anyway!).
You must go to a dentist though as having your teeth in such a state you lead us to believe yours are will only cause more pain as you already know .... not to mentionn infections of the gums.. i am one of the worst cowards on here but i know i have to go to the dentist for check ups etc and have any treatment i need .. valium is a marvellous thing to have at the dentist : ) last week when i had a trapped nerve in my back ( yet again ! ) i felf so sick after taking strong painkillers - i think i had to many in a short time, could be that whats caused it
If you are having a pit of a hypo the best thing you could do is drink a can of coke if you cant eat. Like Juggerling said sounds like a sugar crash not a sugar rush.
As for the tooth pain, get some paracetamol with codeine (cocodomol)in it, when you take it crush it up and leave it on the bit of your gums where the tooth hurts (my dad swears by this but have never had toothache myself), then 2 hours later take some ibuprofen (with zero paracetamol in it) and then two hours after that repeat with the cocodomol. If you have some cloves or clove oil put that on the bad teeth, and a hot water bottle on your face.
Then phone NHs direct and they will be able to get you in touch with an emergancy dentist.

Why don't you eat properly danny? Do you not like fruit, veg, pasta, rice etc. Once you've sorted your teeth out at the dentist I strongly urge you to try and eat proper meals. I think you are suffering from vitamin and mineral deficiency. I overdid the choccy eating one Easter and I was quite ill the next day. I don't know how you do it.
Good luck anyway x

MrGoodsoulette soem of your advice is good
However crushing Cocodamol (or any drug for that matter not designed for topical use!!) and placing it against the gingival/mucosal tissues results only in CHEMICAL BURN it is dangerous and certainly will have no effect (other than placebo) on pain of odontogenic origin.
Cloves/clove oil if effective at all (and there's no reason why it would be!) is certainly pointless for toothache
