Hi my blood sugar has dropped to 3.8 is this a hypo? Im feeling shaky had a big glass of orange juice now having lunjch

3.8 is on the verge that will give you hypoglycaemic symptoms......anything under than 4.

You are dealing with it in an expert way, although i would have had the lunch without the big glass of orange juice.
As Sqad say, 3.8 is (theoretically at least) just into the 'hypo' range:

However I've registered 2.1 on a routine test with no symptoms at all, so clearly everyone is different!
My grandad always had orange juice cartons in the fridge in case he started getting a hypo. Why orange juice?
If you feel better after eating, then that was hypo :-)

Orange juice is high in sugar ummm. A good dose of sugar is OK as a first aid measure but probably not as an everyday way of sustaining blood sugar levels.
