don't go in to work... could be very infectious.
don't want to pass it on to others do you?
Don't dehidrate, so plenty of fluid! No dairy, tea with no milk is good (put some sugar in it)

Also flat pop (especially cooled biled lemonade) and dry toast. Just nibble foods in the day, don't feel you have to eat at all, just keep you fluids up!
Just have loads of fluid..water and as andrea said flat lemonade or 7up ...and don't go to work if you are not better ....mrthe had it for 3 days ..
hope you feel better soon ...
Imodium, it's brilliant for those symptoms.
7-up is the pop to drink it has the right balance of electrolytes and salts to correct the imbalance.

Agre with 7-up. Boots do a superb rehydration product. Worth asking there.
I've been told that apple juice is very good for the 'trots' as the pectin in it helps to firm up what's coming out!
I've been struck down with a tummy bug for the last few days, grim isn't it :(

Have heard there's something going round so may be best to keep away from work until you're better in case you pass it on.

Is there any other reason for it than a tummy bug? You can get diarrhoea medicine like loperamide but if it's a bug or something then best get it out of your system.

Avoid anything too sweet as it may make it worse, drink plenty of fluids, preferably water and if you're getting dehydrated try the rehydration sachets. If you can't keep fluids down then get to see your GP.

See if you can stomach some gentle soup, just liquid at first then something with some soft veggies in then when you can tolerate that try some dry toast.

Hope you feel better soon! x

Be careful with Imodium - if you have a bacterial infection in the gut then Imodium will just serve to slow the recovery process down. I had Gastroenteritis last year and used Imodium for a day or two - the illness ended up dragging out a whole week before it started to get better :-(
