Does anyone know if your passport needs to be in date for a minimum period AFTER , you return from a holiday in turkey - in order to be allowed into the counry , in the first place .

Also , what vaccinations should you have , before going to turkey .

As for your passport? As long as it is in date when you travel both to and from Turkey you will be allowed to travel

Turkey is not in the EU and so u need the visa but if you stay after the visa expires you will not be allowed back in for 3 months

There seems to be a whole lot of conflicting information on the web about passport requirements for Turkey - ranging from just valid for the stay to 3 months to 6 months and (one report only) a year!!. Even the Turks themselves seem a bit vague about it. They seem more interested in selling you a visa than anything else.

So whilst I can usually answer these questions confidently - in this case no idea.

Just remember to have a �10 note ready when you go through passport control in Turkey, ( no �10, no entry )
