Hi all :o)
With the school hols starting tomorrow I won't be back at work till September and as I have a fairly physical job I just know I will pile on the pounds whilst we are off.
The only form of exercise I can stand and never tire of is riding my bike (I've tried dvd's, classes etc but never stick to them, only cycling)
My plan is to go cycling first thing on a morning (6am ish) before my husband goes to work as I need to get back to look after the kids, so I was wondering if it is beneficial cycling at this time on a morning? Or do I need to have had breakfast and let it go down?
Just wanted to say we do go on family bike rides but I need to get out on my own and push myself harder to actually lose any weight.
I wouldn't do exercise without eating something 1st. I did this when I first started going to the gym and lasted about 5 minutes before I started going dizzy.
When you work out in the morning, make sure you give your body time to warm up. Bounce around your house a bit to get your heart rate up (jumping jacks, running in place, etc) then stretch before going out to bike.
You don't have to eat a whole breakfast before your ride, but you should have something in your belly for energy. I often eat a banana and a glass of orange juice. This is small enough to eat quickly and still get on the road early.
