Normally it is caused by anxiety/stress/depression.
I suffer with it from time to time, like at the moment, I am just starting my own business!
What works:- Exercise, and lots of it. good diet, cut back on caffeine especially, do not drink it after 4pm. Alcohol too can cause problems. Write down anything that is on your mind.
Good luck.

Agree with spammylou.
Try and get some fresh air before going to bed, and maybe taking a warm bath and a milky drink.
Also, it may not be easy to remove yourself from any problems you may have, but if this's the case, try to. Anxiety, depression, worries - the worst things in the world for keeping you awake at nights. x
