painful fingers

I have suddenly started to have pain in my fingers, across my knuckles. I don't have any swelling, just this dull ache. I am in my 60's. When I was a child I used to *crack* my knuckles a lot, my Mum used to say to me that I will 'suffer when I grow older'
Does anyone else suffer with this? Many thanks

Could be onset of arthritis, get it checked out with your GP.
