My husband recently had a Baker's cyst which burst and caused swelling of his leg which imitated the symptoms of a DVT. Thankfully the swelling has now subsided but he seems to have been left with athritis pain. Is this the usual outcome?

Yes, Baker's cysts are often associated with Arthritis in the knee.
